Water in India

Water is the most important thing in this life, and the humans cannot live without it. As the world goes forward, the pollution increases on the earth, especially in the poor areas. For my blog, I choose India to write about it. I will write a problem-solution report about the water situation in India.

The main problem that India faces is the pollution. There is not enough fresh water for drinking in India, and the water in India is controlled by companies like Vivendi and Suez. So those companies require the people to pay for bottled water. Also diseases spread in India by water. According to the water partners International on their web side, there is approximately 21% of people die from water pollution as the World Bank as estimated, and that means more than 1600 people die daily from bad drinking water.

Although the problem is huge, there are some solutions that the people have to do to stay alive. According to the film “Flow”, some companies like Suez control the fresh water in India, so the people have to stop paying them because “the water is for anyone and it not for companies to control” as many people said in the film. Another solution is to filter and purify the water with UV light before using. It’s an inexpensive technology for clean water. And the Indians use this technology for a little money, so everyone can pay a little and have clean water daily.

Overall, the Indian people have to fight for their water. And they should not pay those companies, also the government should support the people. In my opinion, the new technology that they use to filter and purify the water is very successful and they have to publish it in all the parts of India.

Problem-solution report about Global Warming

Everyone knows these days that global warming is a big problem in our life. Global warming has increased more than before. Of course there are many causes for this problem, also there are many solutions that the scientists have discovered. In this blog. I’m going to write a problem-solution report about global warming and give a solutions plan in my opinion.

The problems that face us about the global warming are many. I’ll talk about the most important issues. The first problem associated with global warming is the effect on animals. In general, it effects nature. According to the WWF www.panda.org it effect the lives of the animals and their lifestyle for many countries. That means if the climate changed 1 C, it will have effects in big ways. Imagine it changing to 5 C? It will be a catastrophe. Another problem caused by global warming is raising sea levels as Jeneen Hobby said in his report from library.hct.ac.ae. The sea level will increase by “no more than 6m” and will cover the islands near the coast. A third problem is the increase of carbon dioxide. If it increases the carbon dioxide level, the temperature of the earth will rise and it will become more and more hot.

Although there are lot problems for global warming, also there are several things we can do to solve the problem of global warming. One solution is to use clean technologies as ELPC adviser Knute Nadelhoffer said in www.globalwarmingsolutions.org. The clean technologies will decrease carbon dioxide by 51%. Another solution is to plant the earth with more trees. When the trees breathe, they take the carbon dioxide and produce oxygen. A third solution is to use electricity instead of fuel and gasses. When the people depend more on electrical energy the carbon dioxide will decrease.

Overall, in my opinion global warming can be controlled if we control our lifestyle and try to not do things not necessary. And try to use less cars and big machines that create a lot of carbon dioxide. Each small change in our life that will have an effect on the earth.

Cool Cities

A few years ago, people started to think how to decrease carbon emissions. One of the shining ideas is cool cities. Some think that people should go from modern cities to cool cities. In this blog, I will talk about the problem of modern cities, the solutions of this problem – cool cities -, and the practicality of that idea.

Modern cities are a big problem that we face in these times. And they help the carbon emissions to increase. According to Vicki Wolf in www.cleanhouston.org, the cars are a higher issue of heating the world. The carbon that comes out from the cars makes the earth hotter. Especially, cities with lots of traffic.

The shining idea to kill the fast increase of carbon emission is cool cities.
Cool cities are the solutions for global warming. They are the cities with zero carbon like Almasder in Abu Dhabi, and it will be in the rest of UAE to reduce the spread of carbon in the atmosphere.

In my opinion Almasder is a big jump in the UAE lifestyle, but according to The National in www.thenational.ae , the dream is not for all, because it will be not be every one’s lifestyle and it will be a small city according to the people in the UAE. Also no one will accept this idea directly. Because it’s new idea and it’s hard to be comfortable with this idea in only one year or two. people need time to be used to a change in their lifestyle.

Carbon Footprint

Carbon Footprint is the house green gasses that we produce by our life. Humans produce thousands tons of carbon every year. This blog will show some way to correct the level of Carbon in the air.

We can measure our Carbon footprint from different web sites, one of them is HeroesoftheUAE.com. This web site asked us several questions about our live and it majored the percentages of the carbon footprint that we consume, also the footprint.wwf.org.uk web site, which collected the percent of food, items, transport, and home stuff that we use in our life.

I got 1.0 carbon footprint from HeroesoftheUAE.com although my classmates got a higher band from me which are 2.3 and 2.9 carbon footprint because there have a bigger family than my family. Also from footprint.wwf.org.uk I got 2.7 carbon footprints. This time I was in the middle. My classmates got 2.1 and 3.4. That because my family buys more stuff than we need.

Overall, the carbon footprint is affecting our life in big ways. So we have to save it and try to decrease the level of carbon footprint.

An Inconvenient Truth Argument

In An Inconvenient Truth, the movie talks about global warming which the earth faces. The movie talks about the problem of global warming and some possible solutions for it. Some people like Al Gore’s talk and the others do not. In this blogs, I will talk about some positive ideas and some negative ones.

First as a positives idea for An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore hangs on with his idea. So he attracts people's attention. As Paul Arendt said in his Reviewed in BBC films website, Al Gore was not a movie star, but he does a lot to have a really great slide show.

Now let us look at why An Inconvenient Truth got negative views, the film is not accurate as Gregg Easterbrook said in the thinksmart.typepad.com website. The movie estimated the sea level, and some other things. So, Al Gore wants to make the things bigger to take care of it for all people.

As a conclusion, I agree with Al Gore, because he has a big view in global warming, so he wants people to take care of the planet. No matter what others say about him. We have to preserve the earth to live in it for a better life.

An Inconvenient Truth

As a beginning, all of us know that the world is becoming warmer. In this movie, Al Gore talks about global warming, and the effects, consequences and some possible solutions.

As a start, he talks about the gross percentage of Carbon Dioxide and how it makes the temperature go up. With the high temperatures, a lot of things change, like the weather. Sadly the change in weather affects the animals and kills them, or makes them extinct. Also the rising in temperatures could kill people; it kills more than billions over the world. Another thing is the sea level, as the temperature goes up, the sea level will increase to flood a lot of areas on earth.

Overall, he mentions that there are a lot of possible solutions, by changing our thoughts and use new technologies to decrease the CO2 and retain the earth as before or even better, we can solve this situation.

Global Warming

Global Warming:

In the past, the world was more beautiful that nowadays. Sadly, the humans are the main factor for this problem. So the world becomes warmer. Now I will talk about problems and solutions about global warming.

As a beginning I will talk about the problems. One of the main problem is a green house gasses. The green house gasses spread in huge area. And it’s make the world more warming faster. Another problem is the factories. On each day, the plants increase. So the smoke that it goes up from the factories is in increase daily. An additional problem is cutting trees. The trees are decreasing the amount of CO2 in the world. So if we cut the trees, the CO2 will increase. Also if the CO2 goes up, the ozone layer will become thin.

Let me now discuss some possible solutions. One solution is to control the green house gasses. Try to control the Percentage of green house gasses by put laws on every possible thing that affect the world. Another way out is to control plants. As a government, put law controlling the factories to decrease the percentage of smoke that comes out from plants. A further answer is we can farm the trees on different part of the earth, so the trees can increase the amount of O2.

There are a number of problems due to the increase in global warming. This essay has tried to look at the main ones and suggest possible solutions. A strong plan needs to be put in place by the authorities.

About Me

My name is Mohammed Al-Hosani and I’m student in the Higher Colleges of Technology. I’m 19 years old, and my birthday on 21th October 1989. I was born in Delmaa. It’s an island 230 km from Abu Dhabi. As a student at ADMC I have a lot of hobbies and goals.

As a beginning, my hobbies are playing games with my friends, such as online games, card games, play station and football. Actually we play every day to not feel bored. When I sit at home I like to chat with people on the Internet, or design some things. I like to play with photos to make nice Pictures.

For sure every student has to be an active person. But I like to be quiet most of the time. Also I’m funny when I feel good. And I may turn noisy sometimes.
At the end, I would like to learn more and more, and I wish to get “A” on this class, and I will try to continue to get a Bachelor’s degree.
